A Lived Reality

Misunderstanding lends to mistreatment. Mistreatment is prevalent in systems that de-humanize, putting the lives of those misunderstood, at risk. At the heart of the REhumanization Project lies a simple yet powerful conviction: compassion for capacity saves lives. By sparking a profound shift in our collective perspective, we can transform the very fabric of our healthcare, education, and community safety systems, reclaiming our shared humanity.

Become a part of the project Through person- centered facilitation, the project creates opportunities for critical reframing and shifts in perspective that positively enhance human interaction by building upon the practice of "compassion for capacity".

Caste and Pervasive Behaviorism

An examination of how the pillars of caste impact the collective perspective and in turn the safety and well-being of humans systemically de-humanized.

We are parents of a high support needs (PDA autistic) child with a nervous system disability that impacts their ability to access basic needs and overrides their safety instincts.

Disabilities like this, throughout history and up until this day, remain highly misunderstood and in turn mistreated.

Origin story

This project originated from personal experience of intense paradigm shifts, shattered certainties, and the process of unlearning and relearning. This process provided clarity in recognizing the systemic impacts of ableism, caste, and pervasive behaviorism, and inspires the project’s ongoing endeavor to dismantle harmful legacies within ourselves and our communities.

This project is our effort to increase universal access to safety, dignity, and survival for all humans and to honor those whose lives have been cut short by systemic failures, those who could easily be our own children.

This project is founded in honor of Ryan Gainer and the Gainer family.
